Now
with an IMPROVED MODULE, the E400 is the
first portable electronic kit to feel like a regular
drum kit and allow for Kit and sound adjustment.
Unlike
other electronic drums you get a standard sized
set of drums 12" snare, 10" tom, 12"
tom, 14" tom and 20" kick drum. These
are fitted with acoustic heads and Traps own triggers
for near silent performance. So when used with headphones
you can turn the volume right up and practice to
your hearts content without upsetting the neighbours
and/or your parents. Alternatively plug the output
into a PA and blow the crowd away at your next gig.
The
drums are constructed from a very high quality and
durable ABS and are fitted with acoustic heads,
steel counter hoops and are tuned with the traditional
multi screw tuning system. Of course because the
drums are all standard sizes it is also possible
to fit standard heads and cymbals (not supplied)
to convert the E400 into an acoustic kit.
The
electronic cymbals are also moulded with an internal
trigger and NEW SOFTER PAD to damp out stick noise.
The hi hat consists of one of these cymbals plus
a switch triggered via a standard foot pedal so
that it functions in the same way as an acoustic
hi hat, unlike any other kit in the E400 price range.
The
rack system that the drums and hardware fit to is
made from substantial steel tubing which means that
everything stays exactly where it's put when the
kit is set up and doesn't move. The
system is completed by the NEW E450 Module which
is packed with the loads of great features
The
TRAPS Electronic Drums system has the following
features:
20" Bass drum
The E400 20" bass drum is an uncompromising
double-headed design fitted with a acoustic head
on the back and another on the front printed with
the Traps logo. It is also fitted with chrome plated
steel hoops.The shell is made from a robust high
quality injection moulded ABS fitted with custom
dual mounting points ideally suited to mounting
in the E400 rack mount system. A strong metal plate
is fitted to the bottom of the rear counter hoop
so that when the kick pedal is fitted the beater
strikes the head at the optimum position - top of
the upstroke.
12" Snare Drum
The E400 12" snare drum has a great feel as
a result of the high quality ABS moulding combined
with the chrome plated steel counter hoops, acoustic
heads* and 8 square headed tension screws.
Fitted with a Traps trigger and dual acoustic heads
this drum is very responsive even distinguishing
between standard snare hits and rim shots.
10", 12" and 14" Toms
The 12" and 13" toms come with a chrome
plated 6 lug steel counterhoops and ABS molded shell
with integral mounting system. The 14" tom
has a chrome plated 8 lug steel counterhoops and
ABS molded shell with integral mounting system.
Cymbals
The beautifully molded electronic cymbals included
in the E400 kit are molded from ABS with an inset
rubber pad to keep stick noise to a minimum. Each
cymbalhas a built in trigger. The hi hat also has
a switch which mounts on the standard hi hat pedal
stand to allow hi hat open, closed and closing sounds.
Electronic Triggers
The E400 electronic drum kit comes with 5 triggers
as standard. They are molded from the same tough
ABS as the drums and cymbals
E450 Drum Module
The redesigned E450 Drum Module has a plethora of
key features such as: Onboard Recording; Click Track
With Tempo Adjust; Change And Save Instruments/Volumes;
Adjust Reverb/Surround/Pan Sounds; Easy To Read
Display; Much Improved Cable Harness And 1/4"

Quality
Hardware
The E400 comes fitted with quality hardware as standard.
This includes rugged and free moving hi hat and
kick drum pedals. Also included is a snare basket
and boom cymbal arms (which can be slid into the
frame for easy storage). The pedals also feature
quality chain drives, memory locks, expansion springs
and clutches.
Rack
Mounting System
The E400 rack mounting system is made from sturdy
large diameter steel chromed tubing. The kit can
easily be set up for either left or right handed
players using the supplied tough multifunctional
joints. When set up the rack is very strong and
once fitted with the supplied four large rubber
feet stays where it's placed and doesn't move. This
provides a noticeable improvement in playability
compared to other portable drum sets in this price
bracket. The rack is also supplied with cable clips
which allow the cables to be routed neatly to the
drum triggers from the E450 'brain'.
